Hailing from Senegal, percussionist Amadou Diagne comes from a long family line of griots – traditional West African storytellers, singers, poets and musicians.

English musician Mark Smulian is best known as a producer and bass player. He produced Amadou Diagne’s latest album Ligéey, on which he also played several instruments including the oud, bass guitar and upright bass.
