“Dignity and Independence: Re-Imagining Ugandan Mental Health Care in the Post-Colonial Era”

The Centre for Global Mental Health at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine invites you to join our seminar and film screening on 9th October 2015, jointly celebrating Uganda’s Independence Day and World Mental Health Day 2015.

The celebration includes:

  •  Screening of the BBC documentary Our World, Uganda: My Mad World, followed by live Q&A with Producer Guy Smith
  • Beautiful bead accessories stall supporting the Butabika Link Peer Support Worker Programme
  • Speakers from the All Party Parliamentary Group on Global Health, Uganda Diaspora Health Foundation, Centre for Global Mental Health, Sheffield-Gulu Mental Health Partnership, Butabika Link, and PADEAP
