This Other Island is a re-working of Aime Cesaire’s seminal anti-colonialist version of the Tempest, it weaves a tale of a fantasy land of poetry and dance now ruled by Shakespeare’s Caliban in which concepts of belonging, diversity and otherness are radically questioned. Featuring internationally known artists, including: playwright/poet Inua Ellams (2 sell out shows at the National Theatre), Malika Booker, Warsan Shire and dancers Sean Graham & Ella Mesma.

This is a rare opportunity to see some of the UK’s finest literary talent collaborate with emerging dancers in the latest stage of this work-in-progress.
