Sex, Love & Poetry

July 1, 2016 @ 6:30 AM - 8:30 PM

| £10

Join Africa Writes for an evening of readings and uncensored conversation on sex, love and desire spanning the sexuality spectrum and the African Diaspora experience. With daring work that challenges hetero-normative depictions of love, our guest poets and writers will explore intimacy and romance without taboos or restrictions. Whether you’re straight or queer, trans, black or white – if you’re an adult and curious, this event is for you! With Caleb Femi, Rachel Long, Adam Lowe and SA Smythe. Hosted by Bisi Alimi.

Part of Africa Writes, a vibrant programme of events showcasing the best new writing from across the continent and the Diaspora.

Africa Writes is an annual festival organised by the Royal African Society, which aims to promote contemporary African writing and writers as well as to explore Africa’s long literary past and its future. Every year Africa Writes showcases established and emerging literary talent from Africa and the Diaspora.
