The award-winning, post-apartheid South African artist Robin Rhode uses visual languages that range from photography and performance to drawing and sculpture. Here, he presents his work alongside Haitian electronic music composer, percussionist, and turntablist Val Jeanty. A conversation about the alliance of visual art and music moderated by Rose Lee Goldberg, art curator and founder of PERFORMA, opens the evening, followed by a viewing of selected animations by Rhode and a culminating live performance by Jeanty.
