LOOKING FOR LOVE is a unique feature length documentary about issues of relationships, love, intimacy and sex . It’s the new film from Menelik Shabbaz who gave us the amazing blockbuster, The Story of Lovers Rock.

Despite modern advances in communication technology, many people face loneliness and depression. This frank documentary from a leading filmmaker combines music and performance with intimate interviews exploring male-female relationships within the UK’s Black British community. Individuals, groups, psychotherapists and comedians consider love, sex, intimacy, psychology and forgiveness.

With contributions from Dr Umar Johnson, Jackee Holder, Dr Dwight Turner, Susan Quilliam and comedians Kojo, Andi Osho, Eddie Kadi, Slim, Mr Cee, Donna Spence and Glenda Jaxson.

The premiere screening will be followed by a  discussion with director Menelik Shabazz.
