Speaker: Professor Robert Rotberg
Robert Rotberg is the Founding Director of the Program on Intrastate Conflict at the John F Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, and president emeritus of the World Peace Foundation. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. In 2003-4 he served as a member of the US secretary of state’s advisory panel on Africa. He created the Index of African Governance and is the author of numerous books and articles about Africa, including “Ending Autocracy, Enabling Democracy: The Tribulations of Southern Africa, 1960-2000″ (2002), “Battling Terrorism in the Horn of Africa” (2005), “China into Africa: Trade, Aid and Influence” (2008), and “Africa Emerges: Consummate Challenges, Abundant Opportunities” (2013).
