The 14th London African Music Festival presents THE TRIO AKA featuring ANTONIO FORCIONE, SECKOU KEITA AND ADRIANO ADEWALE three phenomenal musicians come together to form the epic AKA Trio; an energetic, exhilarating and sensational show of musicianship, rich in cultural influences and uplifting to behold.
The AKA Trio is a high-octane collaboration between three world-renowned virtuosos: Internationally acclaimed Antonio Forcione from Italy is a master of his game, not only as one of the great acoustic guitarists but globally respected for his compositions “one of the greatest guitarists” (The Guardian). Award-winning Seckou Keita from Senegal is one of the world’s most respected and critically acclaimed kora players “An absolutely magical sound” (Mark Radcliffe, BBC Radio 2); Adriano Adewale is a composer/percussionist from Brazil whose natural charisma equals his originality “combines his Brazilian and African roots brilliantly in a captivating synthesis” (The Jazzmann).
These three musicians are all at the top of their game with acclaimed solo careers. Together as AKA Trio they treat audiences to a powerful and dynamic show of wit, personality and musical virtuosity.
