The 14th London African Music Festival presents LOKITO YA CONGA (Congo), led by Renato Mondele, brings a new style to Soukous pioneered by the likes of . TP OK Jazz of Franco Luambo and African Jazz of Grand Kalle Papa Wemba Zaiko Langa Langa, Tabu Ley, Wenge Musica, Extra Musica, Koffi Olomide, Big Stars, Soukous Stars, Kanda Bongo Man, Aurlus Mabele and many others.
Whilst keeping their roots firmly in Kinshasa, they fuse the styles of modern Africa and their sound is joyous with vibrant melodies that are sweet while rocking the dance floor. With four albums released Lokito Ya Congo are the sound happening of the young Africans.
