Clive will provide a talk on Africa- a myriad of opportunity, a continent of superlatives.

Africa is no longer the ‘dark continent’ it was once perceived to be and 10 of the world’s fastest growing economies are now in Africa. This is the final frontier, the cradle of mankind, where the opportunity exists to trade with over 1 billion people, 15% of the world’s population. Africa is not the single country that many perceive it to be but a collection of over 50 autonomous states, collectively having the youngest population of any other continent with 50% of the population under 20 years of age.

There are opportunities in almost every economic sector across the continent with the UK seen as the ‘preferred partner’, especially in those countries that are members of the Commonwealth.
