This year’s SCOLMA Annual Conference will take place at the National Library of Scotland in Edinburgh on Monday 11th September 2017. The theme is ‘Document to Digital: how does digitisation aid African research?’ and speakers from Africa, Europe, the USA and the UK will consider projects which have digitised archives, photographs, grey literature and rare publications and how they have been used for academic research and wider accessibility.

The keynote speaker is Jody Butterworth from the Endangered Archives Programme which, working with local partners, provides grants for the digitisation of archives which are at risk around the world.

The conference programme and registration form can be found here.
