Ghana was the first nation in Sub-Saharan Africa to gain independence from colonial rule on 6th March 1957 spearheaded by the remarkable visionary Osaygefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah.

To mark this 60th year of Ghanaian independence in 2017, young Londoners of Ghanaian heritage explore their cultural identity and how it manifests in their creative contribution as part of the wider African Diaspora.

Curated by writer Christian Adofo, this event will feature a mixture of readings, visual media and an informal discussion with visual artist Heather Agyepong & poet Victoria Adukwei Bulley on identity, race and young London.
