This holiday season, the Africa Centre celebrates its new location in Southwark, with the ‘Africa Pop-Up Shop’.
For 3 days from December 15-17, emerging and established talents from Africa and the UK-African Diaspora will be showcased – featuring incredible artisanship from Ghana and Kenya, to South-Africa and the UK in one unique space.
Fashion, jewellery, homewear, accessories, prints and African food will be on sale to the public.
‘The Africa Pop-Up Shop’ is the first in a series of events planned at Arch 29, Union Street, SE1 OLR, one of two Arch spaces linked to the new Africa Centre site.
The Africa Centre is committed to supporting entrepreneurs from Africa and its Diaspora. The Africa Pop-Up Shop promotes the culture and communities of Africa bringing together a range of brands including:
- MaXhosa by Laduma
- Fondation Jean-Felicien Gacha
- Rokus London
- Debut collection of prints by French-Cameroonian illustrator @iamannelise
