By the 20th January 2016, the Ebola epidemic in West Africa had killed 11,316 people since it began just over two years before. The outbreak exposed under-resourced over-burdened health systems in the affected countries and weaknesses in the international response. During the outbreak, the UK played a key role in supporting Sierra Leone with £427m channelled, principally through DFID, into a range of research and medical, technical and logistical support to the Sierra Leone government, front-line NGOs and other vital actors.

The launch of this report by Africa APPG and Polygeia will explain the key findings of the report and allow for further discussion and exploration of the suggestions and recommendations amongst a diverse audience of policy makers & influencers, NGOs, private sector and parliamentarians.

This event is open to all and free to attend but Eventbrite booking is essential.
